Product description
Gasket made of structured PTFE manufactured from virgin PTFE and hollow glass microspheres. The glass fiber filling improves the wear characteristics and, to a lesser extent, the deformation characteristics under permanent load. Glass has poor alkali resistance and can be attacked by hydrofluoric acid; the material also offers reduced plastic creep in both cold and hot conditions. Performance is guaranteed up to a maximum temperature of 260°C and a maximum pressure of 55 bar. The joint is light blue in color, with a thickness of 1.5 to 3mm.

Application:
Sealed against strong acids and moderately caustic substances, these gaskets are particularly suitable for flanges that are sensitive to high clamping loads.
